It was not Christmas until that Boney M Christmas album was blaring from the radio at the corner of the living room. The smell of chapatis and nyama choma wafting through the air, the last cackle of the hen before it became the highlight meal of the day, the new outfits, friends and family gathered together. Oh, and there had to be soda. A full crate. Otherwise, Christmas would not be complete. Christmas was the Cypress trees - yes, we didn’t have the luxury of the now-more-readily available recyclable trees. Oh, the aroma of that Cypress Christmas tree... Nostalgic! It was the simple things.
Tis The Season 2018 is upon us again and this year's theme; It's The Simple Things. Tis The Season is an annual concert that stirs the joy of Christmas through the celebration of popular melodious Christmas carols but with a Kenyan twist. The event which is on its 6th edition will be held at the Hub, Karen on 11th and 12th December 2018.
The Tis The Season concert is directed by songstress Atemi Oyungu. This night of Kenyan Christmas carols will feature some of the best and renowned vocal artists in Kenya: Kendi Nkonge, Karimi Rimbui, vocalist Wambura Mitaru, Rigga, Manasseh, Chikwaza, Chris Adwar from the Villagers Band, the soulful Sage Chemutai and the lovely Atemi Oyungu. Also featured in this year’s edition are Tetu Shani, ‘You Said’ songstress Sara Mitaru, talented singer-songwriter, and producer Aaron Rimbui, together with the legendary Eric Wainaina.

The family event is open to all and is free for kids below 2 years. Advance tickets are available for KSh. 1500 so get yours here. Tickets for kids below 12 years are KSh. 500/- Look out for the various #TTS2018 activities happening as we lead up to the concert.
