Musical Tinga Tinga Tales Rocks Nairobi

The beloved children's show Tinga Tinga tales came alive over the April Holidays as a great cast put together a one-of-a-kind musical show. From the 23rd of March to the 22nd of April 2016, kid's across Nairobi danced, sang along and watched as their favorite animals got themselves into and out of various hilarious situations.

The show showcased Kenya's top acting talent as stars such as John Sibi Okumu, Iddi Achieng’, Elsaphan Njora among others came together to give a scintillating performance. This musical extravaganza was held at The Elephant and was written and directed by the TV show's original creator Claudia Lloyd. The music was put together by local musician Eric Wainaina and produced by Sheba Hirst while Mkamzee Mwatela was responsible for the choreography.  Here are a few highlights from the show.

The show’s success saw its extension by week making it a record breaking 1 month run for a children’s show. The production was not only a hit with a little ones but parents and guardians gave rave reviews on costumes, set up and it use as a teaching tool. All-in-all it seems everyone had a fantastic time.
