Walk the talk: What you missed at Walker town Nairobi

The Nairobi edition of Walker Town took the city by storm. Held at the glorious Uhuru Gardens, this edition of Walker Town became an instant sensation, drawing crowds from all corners of the city and beyond. The reason? A star-studded line-up of both international and local entertainers that could not be missed.

Let's talk about the venue, Uhuru Gardens. Its massive spaces came to life with vibrant decorations in Johnnie Walker's iconic yellow and red colours. By 10 a.m., the stage was set, and anticipation was building in the air. It was clear that this was going to be a day like no other. There were countless stands with food and drinks ready to serve guests from as early as noon.

At 2pm, local artists Vijana Barubaru and Boutross kicked off the entertainment, setting the stage on fire with their performances and then came the international performances. Amapiano groove queens TXC pumped up the crowd, before Fally Ipupa graced the stage with his electrifying Lingala music. The dance moves! Amazing. There was so much energy in the crowd that you could feel it from the cheers.

As he wrapped up his performance, the anticipation grew, and then, in a tsunami of energy, Tiwa Savage took to the stage. Her Afro beats music had everyone dancing and singing along, getting to see the Naija princess perform was also the highlight of the evening. Everyone had their phones out to capture the moment.

Moreover, as the night fell, a spectacular fireworks display lit the sky in a breath-taking array of colours, setting off cheers and screams of joy from the crowd. Who knew that fireworks could be so enchanting under the clear night sky?

And just when you thought it couldn't get any better, Nyashinski "bounced" to the stage, treating the crowd to the best of Kenyan music. The entire venue was a sea of dance and celebration, with people of all ages coming together to dance to the beats.

The Nairobi edition of Walker Town left a mark, and people were already eagerly anticipating the next edition. Walker Town had certainly lived up to its reputation. Until next time, Nairobi!
